Celebration Bags
Our Celebration Bags are our way of welcoming and celebrating new families who have recently received a Down syndrome diagnosis.
Each bag is filled with fun and useful baby items, safety essentials, a medical binder to help track your baby’s first few months of appointments and schedules, and local community resources that may be helpful as your family begins this new journey.
We take this opportunity not only to share thoughtful gifts, but also to educate and encourage families who may be learning about Down syndrome for the first time. Inside each bag, you’ll find “Did You Know?” facts and educational materials that help shine a positive light on life with Down syndrome.
Currently, we deliver Celebration Bags to families at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, Saint Mary’s Hospital, and Muskegon Hospital, as well as through personal home visits.
What makes these deliveries truly special is the personal touch — whenever possible, we bring along one of our amazing self-advocates. This gives families the chance to meet an adult with Down syndrome who can warmly welcome them to “The Lucky Few” family, offering firsthand encouragement and connection.
